While Sunday's race at Texas Motorspeedway will showcase the charity side of the series once again, no charity will be given points wise in the race! For the second season in a row the series will enter Texas with the points lead tied! Corey Davis, who dominated last week, finds himself back even with Mike Kelley with only two races left in the season.

On top of a tight points battle, the series will be running the race on behalf of the Victory Junction Charity. The event has already raised more than $1000.00 to the cause. For info on how to donate or join us for the event make sure to check out the pre-race Texas post in the POWER Series forums.

Corey Davis has had the hot hand lately and has used that to recapture the 'adjusted' points lead. After his win in Atlanta two weeks ago, Davis dominated the field in NY at Watkins this past Sunday. Mike Kelley still sits within striking distance just 3 points behind Davis as the series enters the Chicago area for race 15. While Kelley and 3rd place driver Tim Johnston are hoping to cool off Davis they may have to wait, the number 70 KRT entry enters Sumday as the defending race winner at Chicagoland.

The POWER Series enters its second season stretch after a much needed off week last Sunday. The drivers will tackle the technical high banks of Dover International Raceway for 200 laps for the 12th race of the season tonight. The season has seen an impressive mix of winners this season with last week's winner, Saif Faries, being the 10th different winner this season. While still winless, Mike Kelley has managed to pull ahead of Corey Davis in the adjusted points standings.

Just six races remain until the series' "Earn it on Track" Championship run takes place. Under the system the series runs 17 races with 'adjusted' points with drop weeks while the final 3 races will be run with points locked in from the first 17. With no drop weeks during the last three races anything can happen to shake up the points.
